While doing topend work on my 99 XT600E I noticed one of the swingarm seals was broken and had slipped out of the thrust cover, this is a simple fix to prevent it from happening again. and a few tips.The photo below is another XT600 with the same problem.The same size "O" ring used for the oil seal works to fill this gap.Just as an extra precaution against water getting in I decided to fill the space with grease using a needle tip on the grease gun.Swingarm pivot bolt, easier than using a wrench/socket held in one hand while attempting to torque the nut with the other, turn the bolt counter clockwise to pinch/hold the flat piece of steel in place while you torque the nut to 61 ft lb.
